Product description
High-quality, 100% natural gravel, which is perfect for both low-tech aquariums and more advanced arrangements. Thanks to its natural origin, it fits perfectly into natural-style aquariums, making them resemble a natural aquatic ecosystem and creating the effect of a mountain stream.
Its dark shade provides an aesthetic finish to the bottom of the tank.
It is an ideal substrate for both experienced aquarists and those just starting their adventure with aquariums.
This gravel is not artificially colored or chemically modified, which guarantees that it does not release any undesirable substances into the water and does not lose its color properties over time.
In addition to its aesthetic qualities, it also performs an important biological function – it provides suitable conditions for the development of the root system of small plants and promotes the growth of beneficial nitrifying bacteria.
Due to its structure, this gravel is particularly recommended as a substrate for lawn plants such as Eleocharis parvula, Hemianthus callitrichoides ‘Cuba’ (small Heniek), Cryptocoryne parva, and other small foreground plants. For optimal visual and biological effects, it is recommended to place this finer gravel at the front of the aquarium and use gravel with a larger grain size at the back, e.g. Light Coarse or Dark Coarse – available in our store.
Purpose
Ideal as a substrate for general aquariums, plant aquariums, shrimp aquariums, and decorative tanks.
