Water testing regulations
I. General provisions
- These Terms and Conditions set out the rules for the provision of aquarium water testing services offered by the Natuscape online store (hereinafter referred to as the “Service Provider”).
- By using the water testing service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
- The aquarium water testing service involves conducting a professional analysis of the chemical parameters of water provided by the Customer or collected by the Service Provider’s representative at the Customer’s premises.
II. Definitions
- Service provider – Natuscape online store offering aquarium water testing services.
- Customer – a natural person, legal person, or organizational unit without legal personality that uses the aquarium water testing service.
- Water sample – water taken from the Customer’s aquarium in accordance with the guidelines contained in these Regulations.
- Parameter – a single chemical indicator of water being tested (e.g., pH, GH, KH, NH₄, NO₂, NO₃, PO₄, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu).
- Test package – a set of several parameters covered by a single test at a promotional price.
III. Scope of service
- The service provider offers testing of the following aquarium water parameters:
- pH (water reaction)
- GH (general hardness)
- KH (carbonate hardness)
- NH₄ (ammonium ion)
- NO₂ (nitrites)
- NO₃ (nitrates)
- PO₄ (phosphates)
- K (potassium)
- Ca (calcium)
- Mg (magnesium)
- Fe (iron)
- Cu (copper)
- The service provider offers the following test packages:
- Aquarium maturity (NH₄, NO₂, NO₃)
- Redfield ratio (NO₃, PO₄)
- Basic composition (pH, GH, KH)
- Macronutrients (NO₃, PO₄, K, Ca, Mg)
- Microelements (Fe, Cu)
- The service provider reserves the right to modify the scope of the tests offered, subject to appropriate notification on the website.
IV. Placing an order
- The aquarium water testing service can be ordered by completing the order form available on the Service Provider’s website.
- In the form, the customer selects:
- Individual parameters or test packages
- Method of sample delivery (personal delivery to the store or testing at the customer’s premises)
- Method of receiving results (personal collection, sending to an email address, making available on the Customer’s account)
- If you choose the option of testing at the customer’s premises, please also provide:
- Full address where the examination is to be performed
- Preferred appointment date (from those available in the calendar)
- Contact details (first name, last name, phone number, email address)
- After completing the form and accepting the Terms and Conditions, the Customer will receive confirmation of the order acceptance to the email address provided.
V. Collection and delivery of samples
- The customer is obliged to collect the water sample correctly:
- Use a clean, leak-proof container with a capacity of 100-200 ml.
- Rinse the container several times with the test water before taking the actual sample.
- Water intake from the middle of the aquarium
- Fill the container completely, without leaving any air under the cap.
- Sample storage conditions:
- The sample should be delivered for testing within 24 hours of collection.
- If immediate delivery is not possible, the sample should be stored in a refrigerator.
- The sample should be protected from light.
- Do not freeze the sample.
- Sample delivery:
- The sample should be delivered in person to the Service Provider’s headquarters during business hours.
- The sample must be adequately protected against spillage and contamination.
- The sample must be accompanied by the order number or customer identification details.
- In the case of testing at the customer’s premises:
- The Service Provider’s representative will collect the sample themselves during the scheduled visit.
- The customer is obliged to ensure access to the aquarium at the agreed time.
- If the service cannot be provided due to the Customer’s fault (absence, lack of access to the aquarium), the Service Provider has the right to charge a travel fee in accordance with the price list.
VI. Provision of the service
- Delivery time:
- The standard turnaround time for testing is 24-72 hours from the time the sample is delivered or the customer visits.
- During periods of increased workload, delivery times may be extended, in which case the customer will be notified.
- Test method:
- The tests are performed using professional measuring equipment (exaqua pro6 photometer).
- The service provider guarantees measurement accuracy in accordance with the specifications of the measuring equipment used.
- Research results:
- The test results are provided in PDF format.
- The report contains measured parameter values and interpretative comments.
- The results are sent to the email address provided by the Customer or made available on their account in the online store.
- If you choose the personal pickup option, you will be notified when your results are ready for pickup.
VII. Price list and payments
- Prices for testing individual parameters:
- Any 1 parameter from the list: PLN 25
- Prices for test packages:
- Aquarium maturity (NH₄, NO₂, NO₃): PLN 59
- Redfield ratio (NO₃, PO₄): PLN 49
- Basic composition (pH, GH, KH): PLN 49
- Macronutrients (NO₃, PO₄, K, Ca, Mg): PLN 89
- Microelements (Fe, Cu): PLN 45
- Additional fees for on-site testing at the customer’s premises:
- Up to 10 km from the Service Provider’s headquarters: PLN 30
- 11–20 km: PLN 60
- 21-30 km: PLN 90
- Over 30 km: individual pricing
- Payment methods:
- Bank transfer
- Online payment via electronic payment system
- Payment in a brick-and-mortar store (upon delivery of the sample)
- Payment in cash or by card during the examination at the customer’s premises
- In the case of tests carried out at the customer’s premises, the total cost of the service includes the price of the selected tests and a travel fee.
- The service provider reserves the right to change the prices of services. Price changes do not apply to orders placed before the change was introduced.
VIII. Liability
- Responsibility of the Service Provider:
- The service provider undertakes to perform the tests reliably, to the best of their knowledge and using professional equipment.
- The Service Provider shall not be liable for incorrect test results resulting from improper collection, storage, or delivery of the sample by the Customer.
- The Service Provider shall not be liable for any damage resulting from the interpretation of test results by the Customer.
- Customer Responsibility:
- The customer is responsible for collecting the sample correctly in accordance with the guidelines.
- The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete contact details.
- In the case of an on-site inspection, the Customer is responsible for ensuring access to the aquarium at the agreed time.
IX. Complaints
- The customer has the right to file a complaint regarding the quality of the service provided within 7 days of receiving the test results.
- The complaint should include:
- Customer identification data
- Order number
- Description of the subject of the complaint
- Expected method of complaint handling
- Complaints should be submitted electronically to the Service Provider’s email address or in writing to the Service Provider’s registered office address.
- The service provider will consider the complaint within 14 days of receiving it.
- If the complaint is accepted, the Service Provider may:
- Repeat the test (requires a new sample to be provided)
- Refund all or part of the service fee
- Propose another solution appropriate to the nature of the complaint.
X. Protection of personal data
- The Service Provider is the administrator of Customers’ personal data.
- Customers’ personal data is processed for the purpose of providing aquarium water testing services, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
- Providing personal data is voluntary, but necessary for the service to be provided.
- The customer has the right to access their data, rectify it, delete it, restrict its processing, transfer it, and object to its processing.
- Detailed information on the processing of personal data can be found in the Privacy Policy available on the Service Provider’s website.
XI. Final provisions
- In matters not covered by these Terms and Conditions, the provisions of Polish law shall apply, in particular the Civil Code.
- The Service Provider reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions. Amendments shall enter into force on the date of their publication on the Service Provider’s website.
- The amendment to the Terms and Conditions does not apply to orders placed before the amendment was introduced.
- Any disputes arising from the provision of aquarium water testing services shall be settled amicably, and in the event of disagreement, by the court competent for the Service Provider’s registered office.
- The Terms and Conditions shall enter into force on the date of their publication on the Service Provider’s website.
