A compact and efficient device that has been used in aquariums for years. Although advances in filtration have changed the way we care for water quality, aerators still play a key role.

They are particularly effective in aquariums with a large number of fish, where they support filtration by providing additional oxygen. They are also essential in tanks with sponge filters, which operate on the basis of air flow. They are ideal for breeding fry and in shrimp aquariums, where proper oxygenation of the water is crucial for their health. Aerators also play an important role in treating fish – increased oxygenation of the water improves the effectiveness of medicinal preparations and supports the treatment of aquarium animals.

They are especially recommended for planted aquariums, where plants stop producing oxygen at night and release CO₂. In combination with a carbon dioxide dosing system, e.g. using a CO₂ cylinder, and a large number of fish in the aquarium, this can lead to fish suffocation. To prevent this, it is worth using a pH-controlled aerator, which automatically regulates the amount of CO₂ and oxygen in the water.

MiniBoost series aerators are also a solution for the proper hatching of live food, e.g. artemia, which requires strong oxygenation.
